McDowell County EMS Explorers

McDowell County EMS Explorer program is for youth ages 14-18 to have an interest in a medical career. The program seeks to allow each student the opportunity to gain medical knowledge and hands on training. Students will be certified in basic first aid, and CPR with multiple outdoor events being conducted. Such events include hiking, camping, wilderness scenarios, and training sessions with EMS paramedics. The program aims to teach each student important skills such as team work, public speaking, and leadership skills. The program meets twice a month.
